Why Computers Slow down with time


I think I'm pretty sure I know why I have to FDisk my machine every few months.

It's all the lost keystrokes. You know, you're busy working in photoshop, somebody IMs you in another monitor, you look over, and start typing (forgetting to select the IM client window and give it focus). If your work isn't trashed by your choice of key combinations, you've just sunk a bunch of bytes into... the gears.

Either that, or those keystrokes are turned into dust, which the CPU just spits out.
