Call me Crazy...

This one is just too good to be true.

An Israeli company has granted an American company the rights to exclusively distribute an ANTI-MISSLE system for passenger jets. It uses radar and 'dark flares' to fool the missles.

Here's the quote that REQUIRED a blog entry:
"When a missile is detected, the system fires dark flares to divert the projectiles away from the aircraft. Dark flares have been deemed environmentally safe with low visibility and were said to be an enhanced model of those flares used to protect military aircraft."

Um...
1) Not sure I'd REALLY give a crap about the environmental impact of the flares used to decoy any missles shot at me, if I were on the plane.
2) Wow. Not only environmentally safe, but BETTER than the ones used by the military. NICE.
